Welcome Speech for Annual Day Greetings to each one of you present here! Children are the future of tomorrow. All these students we witness today, receiving honours for their talents will grow up to be the responsible citizens of tomorrow. May they grow up to make us proud and achieve the highest human values.

I feel proud to be a part of such an elite institution where we are taught by such great teachers, whose teaching goes beyond the classroom. Also, they are the ones to be thanked for organizing such a huge function.

We all have assembled here today, today to motivate and cherish the young minds present among us. ABC, who is a dean of the most renowned institution functioning under the government of India. She is working towards connecting young minds to strive toward success and achievement. She is known for his wonderful administration and high achievements of the Institution she is in charge of. Apart from this, she is a Philanthropist and renders selfless services to society.

She has moulded the life of students and served people with her kindness. We are so honoured to have her as the Chief guest for the evening. Not to overlook that we are here, joined by the wonderful parents who have raised the best students this school possesses. University life will give you much more than just a degree — get ready for all the adventure! My dear friends, studying in our institution is pure joy, the professors, students, and other staff members are an epitome of compassion and we are quite sure you will be perplexed by their sagacity.

All in all, I would like to say that you have made an absolutely secure decision to be a part of this institution. Our college welcomes all the students joining us today. Now, I will halt my words and start with the programmes for the day which include some astounding performances by the students of our college.

I guarantee, your next few hours will be delightful and memorable. Thank you for being a patient audience and hearing my thoughts. Enjoy the day! School life is undoubtedly the best phase of life for everyone. Our parents, teachers and friends all have made this phase of life so memorable for us.

We learned so many things, from our inspiring teachers. Made mistakes, made memories with friends, and whatnot. It was a long journey in itself. Today marks the end of this school life of sweet and bitter moments to cherish all our lives. We do feel a touch of sadness but it is the nature of life, to move forward.

ABC, Staff Members, and all the students present here. I welcome you all to the annual function of our esteemed college. My name is Lakshita Kumar, a student of B. This post, the first of a two-part set, will help you avoid that. Here are six key components good emcee scripts include, and many not-so-good emcee scripts leave out. Your first impression sets the tone for the whole event. So what do you want your first impression to be? In those key opening seconds of a special event, you no doubt want to create eager anticipation, energy, and suspense.

That approach ensures your program will start with an awkward whimper, not a bang. As you can see, the VoG intro works even better when the house lights are down, the spotlights move wildly, and there are very loud guitars playing. Event planners are the unsung heroes of events, and tend to get noticed only when something goes wrong. They deserve a BIG moment of recognition. They too deserve your public acknowledgement.

Plus, it never hurts to throw some love toward the folks who control your lighting and sound. Thank your audience members sincerely for their time, their attention, and if it applies their passion and efforts for your organization and its mission. Introduce yourself anyway. And those who know who you are may not really understand what you do, or how and why you got tapped for the emcee role.

The first question sets the terms, the second ups the ante, and the third plays off the first two as a joke. I snuck in TWO of these three-question sets: — At the mark, I asked audience members about their association with the stadium the Wes Welker reference related to a photo on the screen of an Atrion employee wearing a painted face and Welker jersey.

Who validates my parking? Should I pee now, or wait for a break? In your first few minutes on stage, put them at ease and set their expectations by giving them the full agenda for your event. Here are some details worth including: — The general order of proceedings in your event what happens first, second, third, etc.

Part of giving your event that extra shine is helping audience members understand the deeper contextual meaning of your event. But that could be done privately and far more cheaply.

So why the pomp and circumstance? Start by answering questions like these: — Why are your honorees worth honoring? Why is it special? What does it symbolize? Enjoy yourself. Find ways to let loose a little. Need more details or an example?

    Effective Emcee-ing!

Kouy Kakada, Mr. Huy Sambath, and Mr. Tola Sothina. Allow me to explain the debate structure for today. The debate today follows Parliamentary debate format which has 2 rounds. The first round is constructive speech — each debater in both teams has 5 minutes to give their speech. And the second round is reply speech, which invite either the first speaker or the second speaker from both teams to deliver a speech for 3 minutes.

There will be a first alerts at minutes [timekeeper demonstrates the bell] and a second alert at minutes Not to do any further delay, I would now like to invite the first speaker of the affirmative team, Ms. Thai Sokcheng to open the debate. You have 5 minutes.

Next, I would like to invite the first speaker of the negative team, Mr. Kouy Kakada to open the case for the negative. Next, I would like to invite the second speaker of the affirmative team, Mr. Nget Kan Davith to give a speech to this. Next, I would like to invite the second speaker of the negative team, Mr. Huy Sambath to deliver a response to this. Dara Saoyuthnea to give the last remark and conclusion to the motion.

Next, I would like to invite the third speaker of the negative team to give a last opinion and a conclusion to the debate. Now it comes to the end of the first round of the debate. First, I would like to invite either the first speaker or the second speaker from the negative team to deliver a speech.

You have 3 minutes. Did you have a great time? I hope you all will get more new ideas from the discussion of both teams. Anyways, now it is time for you to have a chance to ask a question to all the debaters from both teams. If you have any doubts regarding the motion and the explanation from the debaters, please feel free to ask.

How to Conclude a Seminar or Workshop

Add Some Interaction If you just talk the whole time, people are bound to get bored. Instead, get the audience engaged by asking questions or poll them on a topic. For instance, at a wedding, you could ask for a show of hands of who in the room has been married for more than 20, 30, 40 years.

Then ask for the guests to applause them. Audience interaction can help lighten up the mood in the room and keep people engaged the whole way through. Craft a Big Closing People are likely to remember your closing statement more than your opening, even years down the road.
